Features

• All bolted master link construction. Chain links can be easily added to or removed at any point in the system...at any pin. Chain will not disassemble during operation.

• All components are heat treated alloy steel - many competitors do not heat treat their side bars.

• Superior plating. This proprietary coating greatly extends the service life of the plating.

• Patented two-way prevailing torque lock nut... 100% lock withstands severe shock and vibration loads.

Metallurgical Specifications

• Side bars: C-1042 alloy steel, heat treated to 321-363 BHN (BRINELL HARDNESS)

• Center Links: Drop forged C-1046 alloy steel, heat treated to 321-363 BHN

• Chain Pins: Precision cold headed, 4140 high alloy steel, heat treated to 381-411 BHN

 

DURA-PLATE Chain Extends the life
of Your Entire Conveyor System

DURA-PLATE increases chain life from 40% to 50% over the X-348 chain. Increased chain life also means that the trolley brackets and wheels, intermediates, and pendants or attachments last longer...also labor costs for installation and repair are reduced through lowering the frequency of replacement.

High initial chain wear (growth) is eliminated. Precision formed components eliminate the wear-in period.

The high alloy chain pins rotate constantly in use as the conveyor goes through horizontal turns. This allows the entire circumference of the pin to wear evenly...greatly reducing chain growth. By comparison, X-348 pins are locked in place and all wear occurs on one side of the pin only...resulting in rapid chain wear.

Improved Plating Process Means Lower Cost and Reduced Maintenance

The new DURA-PLATE Coating offers added corrosion protection. Test results (ASTM B117) show that the DURA-PLATE Coating gives you a chain that is 3 to 5 times as resistant to corrosion as regular zinc plating.

Many aggressive materials such as detergents, cleaners and water are present in the processing area. These elements will attack the plating, causing corrosion and/or rust....accelerating normal wear and chain replacement.

Our goal of improving the plating process has produced a chain with increased corrosion and rust protection. You benefit by longer chain life and reduced maintenance costs.
